SCRUTINY OF THE PRODUCT

A meeting was held in September 2006 by the chemical & mechanical engineers from the mining safety technology center (N.S.W). This meeting was in relation to the use of Tyre Protector in underground coal & metaliferous mines within N.S.W. The only issue raised was “Flammability tests should be carried out on the product to help individual companies with risk assessment.

Testing complete – M.S.D.S is available from Tyre Protector Australia

ADDITIONAL SAFETY

After a recent fire in a Queensland mine it was reported that a tyre fill product caused toxic gas under combustion, creating a hazardous situation.

The combustion toxicology index has been established for the Tyre Protector product.

DELAMINATION & AIR POCKETS UNDER PRESSURE

When a small stone works its way through a new tyre, it leaves behind it a wound which seals itself, this is called rubber recovery, the air can now move into the structure off the tyre causing delamination and air pockets ballooning under pressure, this tyre has now become a occupational hazard and well on its way to a major tyre failure.

Tyre protector moves in front off air, sealing the wound immediately and creating a permanent barrier keeping the tyre structurally sound.

MECHANICAL FAILURE DUE TO DAMAGED TYRES

Differential failure in heavy vehicles is a real possibility when a tyre looses air pressure, slow leaks may not be detected until the damage is done. At a recent maintenance & tyre management conference in Brisbane, it was reported that studies had been completed in regard to mechanical failure of machinery being a direct result of running damaged tyres, for every dollar spent on tyre repairs another four dollars would have to be spent on mechanical repairs.

Tyre protector will seal slow leaks and punctures instantly and permanently before any damage can occur.

HEAT REDUCTION

Mine haulage tyres face a real challenge to stay under critical temperatures; heat is a major factor in tyre failure. Not only does Tyre Protector maintain tyre pressure, reducing heat build up, it consists of a non-toxic heat transfer fluid.

PUNCTURES

The world tyre shortage, downtime, loss of production and occupational safety are all good reasons to do all in ones power to reduce the amount of punctures that occur.

Tyre protector guarantees to instantly & permanently repair at least 70% of all punctures.
